Born and raised in Bombay, Cyrus Todiwala is one of the UK’s most highly respected chefs. He is the author of seven cookbooks, including the best-selling Simple Spice Vegetarian, and appears regularly in the media. He is also widely recognised for his commitment to education and training, opening up his restaurants Café Spice Namaste, Mr Todiwala’s Kitchen and Mr Todiwala’s Petiscos to trainee chefs and receiving a prestigious CATEY (the hospitality industry ‘Oscars’) for his efforts. A Fellow of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, he has actively supported the academy’s Chefs-Adopt-A-School Programme and has recently launched the Mr Todiwala’s Academy in Café Spice Namaste’s new home in Royal Albert Wharf, the Docklands.
An Ocean Ambassador for the Marine Conservation Society and Patron of the British Lop Pig Society, Cyrus is a keen environmentalist and advocate of sustainability, ensuring that Zest Quest Asia reflects this lifelong ethos.
